DSA Doctoral Education workgroup needs YOU!

Do you care about the quality of your doctoral education? Do you want to help us improve it?

Then we have three open positions that might interest you:

Clinical PhD student

DSA is looking for a clinical PhD student to help shape our work on clinical PhD issues at KI. The role focuses on giving input on how and where to reach MD-PhD students in a way that is useful for them and is sustainable for DSA. The time commitment is low and flexible.

KI RIMS student representative

Are you interested in teaching? Many doctoral students are but sometimes it is very difficult to get involved. It usually involves knowing a course leader that needs a teaching assistant.

We want to change that. We have been helping KI to introduce the RIMS platform (the new employee profiles on the KI website) and it is now time to focus on those doctoral students that want to teach.

We need someone to continue the work of the previous student representative and help KI build a lasting system across departments to connect teachers and eager doctoral students. The time commitment is low and flexible.

Trade union contact

SACO-S (mainly Naturvetarna) is the trade union that represents our interests at KI. They are the ones negotiating our salaries, making sure labour laws are enforced, and holding KI accountable.
The communication between them and us has been less then ideal for many years. We need a doctoral student that is eager to be in contact with them and make sure they have the doctoral student perspective when negotiating on our behalf. The time commitment is low and flexible.

Doctoral Students' Association

DSA is an active and dynamic group of students that represents the interests of doctoral students from all departments at Karolinska Institutet. We are here to help you, to make your PhD more manageable, and to make your time at KI more enjoyable.
